Frequently Asked Questions

When are you open?

ZipLine office hours are different than tour times.

Current WINTER office hours are 10:30 am – 3:30 pm, seven days a week.

Our park is open year-round and we aim to have tours available to guests every day of the week all year long. However, our days and times vary due to the time of year, weather, and number of bookings. You can check our availability at any time by exploring our Book Now page, which will show you all of the tour dates and times currently offered. If you have 6 or more people, we may be able to schedule a time not currently shown online.

What are the requirements to participate?

Age and Weight:

All zipline riders must be at least 8 years old, weigh between 65 – 275 lbs (30-124 kg), and be in good physical condition. All participants will be weighed at check-in and must forfeit their ticket if outside the required weight range. In order to minimize risk of injury, we do not allow people outside of that weight & age range to participate on our tour.

The weight and age ranges are used as a guideline for our guests to have proper harness fit. All guests must fit the harness and be able to follow directions. Guests who are unable to fit the harness or follow directions will not be allowed to continue on zip tour and no refunds will be given.

Measurement ranges of smallest and largest harnesses: Small Harness: Waist 22-31 inches, Thigh 18-24 inches. Large Harness: Waist 35-51 inches, Thigh 20-29 inches.

Health and Physical:

Participants must be able to lift 10 lbs (4.5 kg) and should be prepared for moderate physical exertion. This tour is not for those who are pregnant, have current back or neck issues/injuries, have a major fear of heights, experience dizziness, seizures, or any other serious medical condition. Those with heart conditions or high blood pressure should consult a physician. If you are not sure, please consult your physician.

There is the possibility of wasps on the tour. Bring your appropriate antihistamines, avoid areas of concern, and alert your guides of your allergy concerns. There is also Poison Oak in our neck of the woods and it is a requirement that our guests stay on groomed trails. If you have a severe allergy to anything, please contact management with additional questions or concerns before making a reservation.

Guests that may need special ADA accommodations must contact management. Do not book online!

How long is the tour?

Duration can vary depending on tour size. Please allow for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours from shuttle pick-up to shuttle drop-off.

What is your cancellation and refund policy? What about weather?

Changes and Cancellations:

Scheduling of Zipline Tours and Zip, Dip, & Sip Tours takes planning and the expenditure of resources. In addition, we have a finite number of slots for a finite number of tours available on a finite set of dates.

Non-Refundable Zipline Tickets may be rescheduled one (1) time during the current season up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled tour time.

Zipline Tickets with Tour Protection may be rescheduled or cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled tour time. Tickets with Tour Protection are fully refundable (for the full ticket amount minus the Tour Protection fee) within the time frames mentioned above. When cancelling a reservation with Tour Protection through email or over the phone, you will receive a confirmation email. If you have not received a confirmation, do not assume the cancellation is complete. Cancellations made with less than the required 24 hours’ notice will not be refunded.

Non-Refundable Zip, Dip, & Sip Tickets may be rescheduled one (1) time during the current season up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled tour time.

Zip, Dip, & Sip Tickets with Tour Protection may be rescheduled within the current season or cancelled up to 48 hours prior to tour time. Cancellations made with less than the required 48 hours’ notice will not be refunded.

Weather:

Tours run rain or shine. However, Rogue Valley ZipLine Adventures will suspend operations in the event of severe weather conditions. We reserve the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather conditions, foreseeable hazards, insufficient bookings (tours require a minimum of six (6) guests to run), or events beyond our control. In the event that we exercise this option, alternative dates or a rain-check valid for up to one (1) year will be offered. We aim to inform our guests 24 hours before the tour start time if minimums have not been met.

Please Note: Rogue Valley ZipLine Adventures does not make weather cancellations based on forecast conditions. All decisions regarding weather will be made same day. Only weather cancellations made by Rogue Valley ZipLine Adventures will make guests eligible for reschedule or rain-check.

Is it common to tip the Zip Tour Guides?

Yes, as a common service industry standard based on your experience, our guides graciously accept gratuity!

Do you offer discounts?

We offer a $5 discount per ticket for AAA, College Students, Military, and Seniors 65+ that can be applied when booking by phone.

Discounts for Large Group Tours range from 10%-30% off and are factored into your quote during the booking process.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, all guests must complete and sign a digital waiver before being shuttled to the park. The booking guest will receive an email advising of the need to complete the Pre-Arrival Waiver, which can be forwarded to all party members. Guests under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian complete the waiver (a stepparent, grandparent, or foreign exchange host family is not an automatic legal guardian and may only sign if they are the minors’ legal guardians).

How do I get to your location? When should I arrive?

Our park is only accessible to guests via shuttle. The ZipLine Tours and Zip, Dip, & Sip Tours have different shuttle locations!

Our ZipLine Shuttle Location is at the Laurel Hill Golf Course at 9450 Old Stage Rd. Central Point, OR.97502 (I-5 Exit 40)

Our Zip, Dip & Sip Tour Shuttle Location is at Del Rio Vineyards & Winery, at 52 North River Rd., Gold Hill, OR. 97525 (I-5 Exit 43)

(See our Directions page for detailed written directions)

We recommend that you arrive to the shuttle location 10 minutes early to use the restrooms, finish completing your waivers, and prepare for the tour. Example: If your tour starts at 1:00 pm, you should arrive at shuttle pick-up location by 12:50 pm.

If you think you may be late, please call us right away at (541) 821-9476 so we can let the shuttle know to wait for you if possible!

Can people that don’t want to participate still come on the tour?

No. Due to the terrain of the park and location of our ziplines, walking along is not possible. We understand many of our guests are traveling through and may have animals or small children. Please call if you have questions about our local area and/or things to do while others are zipping!

Can children go on the tour without a parent?

Participants 8-13 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult (18+) chaperone participant on the tour.

Participants 14-17 years old may participate without an accompanying adult, but do require a parent or legal guardian to complete their waiver.

All participants under 18 MUST have a parent or legal guardian complete their digital waiver before being allowed to board the shuttle van – NO EXCEPTIONS.

What should I wear and bring?

We require all participants to wear closed-toed shoes and recommend comfortable clothes that are weather-appropriate. Clothing may get dirty. Pants or longer shorts are more comfortable with the harness. Bandanas, hats, and caps can be worn under helmet. Coats and jackets are acceptable. No loose clothing or jewelry. Long hair must be pulled back.

We encourage you to safely stow away extra items in one of our lockers while on the tour, especially things like car keys, wallets, lighters, pocket knives, and smokeables. If you choose to bring a phone with you, secure it in a deep pocket. Fanny packs and small bags are welcome to ride with you.

Warning: Park is set in wooded area that has Poison Oak. All hiking paths are groomed and guests are not allowed off trails. We recommend wearing proper clothing and take any other precautions necessary if you are highly allergic to Poison Oak.

Are drinks or food available? What about souvenirs?

Water is available throughout the park and you may also bring your own. You are welcome to bring your own sealed snacks and store them in a locker while on tour.

Our General Store is where we gear up and gear down before and after the tour. We have many items available for purchase – snacks and drinks, bags and fanny packs and phone tethers, shirts and hoodies and hats, stickers and magnets, water bottles and mugs, and more!

Do you provide Private Tours or Large Group Tours?

Yes we do!

Are you ADA Friendly?

Possibly? We are not ADA compliant or accessible. ADA friendly to us means that we are able to provide a zipping experience to some guests otherwise unable to zip a regular tour. Guests must speak with management about individual needs and special accommodations because what we can provide is still limited. Accommodations must be approved and booked by management to allow for special planning and specially trained staff to be scheduled. Although we strive to accommodate as many people as we can, it is not always possible for us to zip everyone.
